HOUSEBOAT APARTMENT "SKIPPERS HOME"

The Skippershome Houseboat Apartment is a fully private, stand-alone apartment on board of The Harbour View Houseboat.
The apartment has it's own front door. You will not share any facilities with anyone (not with other guests and not with the owner)

eco friendly: 6 solor panels on the roof + sun heated hot water produce about 50% of the energy usage

The houseboat has the most amazing wide view you can imagine for a crowded city like amsterdam.
In this apartment you can totally relax from the buzz of the day at just 10 minutes by bus or bicycle from the old city.

Facilities

free wifi, All rooms centrally heated. Also in winter very comfortable

Living room: cable TV, stereo, sofa (large enough to serve as extra, 4th bed)

2 Bedrooms: 1 double bed (1.40 X 2m) + 1 single bed (.90 X 2 m)
When you book the skippers-home you rent the entire apartment, also in case you use only one bedroom.

Bathroom with shower, washing stand and toilet + hair-dryer. Nicely finished with marble and teak-wood

Kitchen with 2 jet-cooking range, refrigerator, microwave/ hot-air-oven, coffee maker, pots & pans, dining table.

The standing height is the kitchen is 1.80 m. The standing height is the rest op the apt. is 2m or more. This apartment is not very suitable for very tall people.

Privacy

The boat (Harbour View Houseboat) is divided in 2 apartments.
Full privacy is guaranteed as the parts are not directly connected. They are divided by a large sun-deck and the engine room + storage, underneath

The Skippershome Apartment is the former (actual) skippers home, where the skipper and his family used to live, when the boat was still in use as cargo ship.The Skippershome is located in the rear of the ship.

We, the owners of the boat live in the front part, which used to be the skips hold (where the cargo used to be). Sometimes this section is also rented.
